Home Remedies to Get Moisturized Skin During Winter

During winter, our skin tends to get dry and flaky due to the chilly wind outside the house. Moreover, our skin tends to become unhealthy and loses all its moisture due to the heat inside the house. If you do not tend to your skin on time, it can lead to leakage of blood due to dryness. Dry skin can be treated with moisturizers, but if you feel they are expensive, then home remedies can help keep you to get moisturized skin during winter.

Hydrate your skin more

Keeping your skin hydrated will give you a glowing and baby soft skin. As winter is the season of cold winds blowing outside the house with low humidity, the skin tends to dry up fast. In order to maintain the moisture in the skin, you would need to drink plenty of water to begin with. Also, taking in oil supplements can help keep your skin hydrated.

Apply almond paste to your face

If you already have almonds at home, consider making a paste out of them after soaking them overnight. Before grinding the almonds into a fine paste, you would need to make sure that you peel their skin. Add some raw milk to this paste along with two teaspoons of lemon juice and gram flour to the paste. Now, you can apply this face pack to your neck and face. Leave it on for at least 20 minutes and wash it off with some lukewarm water.

Use some lemon

Since lemon juice contains Vitamin C, it would make your skin glowing and give it a youthful look. The citric acid present in lemon juice is also a good exfoliating agent and also helps in the renewal of skin cells. Apply lemon juice to your entire body to make it glow. Since lemon is also a bleaching agent, it removes the dark shade of the skin caused by the winter sun. You can then rub a slice of cucumber to your face. Then, take a shower after leaving the cucumber and lemon juice on the body for at least 20 minutes. This will help keep the skin moisturized.

Apply an oatmeal face pack to your face

Oatmeal is good for both hydrating your skin as well as removing the dirt from it. Take a pinch of turmeric and mix it with half a cup of oatmeal along with a few drops of lemon juice. Blend this mixture into a thick paste and anoint it in your face. Leave it on for a period of at least 15 minutes and then, rinse it off with some lukewarm water. You will find this a better option that helps you avoid the drying effects of soap.

Use a milk, lemon and almond oil face pack

Prepare a mixture out of 1 spoon of lemon juice along with 1 tablespoon of dried milk powder. Add 1 tablespoon of almond oil to this mixture and blend it together to form a thick paste. Milk powder will help keep your skin hydrated and lemon juice will lighten your skin tone.

Apply avocado oil

Massage your skin with avocado oil mixed with glycerin and apricot. This will instantly bring a shiny glow to your face and is also good for dry skin.

Use avocado paste

Take some fresh, ripe avocado and then, grind or mash it into a paste. Apply this paste to your neck and face. Wash it off after leaving it on for 15 minutes. The Vitamin E present in avocado helps in improving the texture of the skin while moisturizing it effectively.

Use a rose water face mask

Mix one tablespoon of glycerin along with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of rose water. Mix all the ingredients well together and apply this mixture before going to sleep on your face. Glycerin is a natural moisturizer and helps keep the skin hydrated.

Apply a papaya and banana face mask

Mash and mix some ripe papaya and banana in a bowl. Apply this paste all over your skin. It is the easiest remedy for dry skin during the winter.
